Buenos Aires, Argentina, April 24, 2025 – Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) announced today the start of operations of a new crane for unloading barges at the port of its General Lagos agro-industrial complex on the Paraná River, in the province of Santa Fe. This addition will provide another access route to the plant, complementing land transportation, thus improving grain receival logistics from own and third-party ports in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay throughout the year.
LDC announced today the acquisition of a grains and oilseeds warehouse strategically located in Santa Elena, Entre Ríos province, beside the Paraná River. The new facility features a barge port with an hourly shipping capacity of 450 tons, offering competitive alternatives for product delivery to both of LDC’s port complexes in Santa Fe province: Timbúes and General Lagos, respectively located 260 km and 320 km south of Santa Elena, via fluvial routes.
