1. Global Origin Coordination
· Establish and maintain strong communication channels with international suppliers and origins for wheat, barley, sorghum, and peas.
· Monitor global production, supply trends, and quality indicators to ensure reliable sourcing.
2. Market-Driven Import Planning
· Analyze market conditions and adjust import volumes and expectations accordingly.
· Develop and implement strategic import plans to optimize cost-efficiency and mitigate risks.
3. Stakeholder Communication
· Facilitate clear and timely communication between upstream (suppliers) and downstream (customers/partners) stakeholders.
· Provide actionable market feedback to support decision-making and strategy alignment.
4. Global Market Reporting
· Lead daily evening meetings to discuss and report on international and domestic market developments.
· Synthesize insights on price movements, regulatory changes, and supply-demand dynamics.
5. Import Execution and Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Oversee end-to-end execution of import operations, including logistics, documentation, and compliance.
· Collaborate closely with functional departments (e.g., logistics, finance, risk management) to ensure operational efficiency and alignment.
Experience

- Proven experience in grain trading, with expertise in wheat, barley, sorghum, and peas.
- Strong understanding of global agricultural markets and supply chain dynamics.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work flexibly across time zones and lead daily evening meetings.
- Proficiency in data analysis and market intelligence tools.
