As an IT Solution Specialist, you provide expert technical support for Messaging and Directory Services across the company. You ensure these systems are reliable, secure, and continuously improved to meet business needs. You work across teams to manage integrations, support operations, and lead enhancements.

What You’ll Do

Solution Ownership & Support

  • Provide Level 3 support for incidents, service requests, problems, and changes
  • Ensure Level 1 and Level 2 support teams are equipped and aligned
  • Act as the technical escalation point for complex issues
  • Own configuration, change, and problem management for your solutions

Solution Development & Improvement

  • Manage enhancements and new requirements
  • Maintain and update solution documentation for all support levels
  • Propose improvements and support decision-making with technical insights
  • Stay current with new technologies and align with the company’s IT roadmap

Project & Implementation Work

  • Participate in solution-related projects and implementations
  • Act as a technical lead when required
  • Create and execute change plans
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and service providers for smooth deployments

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain technical architecture to meet business needs
  • Provide guidance and support for technologies including Active Directory, Entra ID, Entra Connect, O365, Exchange, and SMTP mail routing
  • Research emerging technologies to improve services
  • Create and maintain documentation, diagrams, and communications
  • Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis
  • Monitor availability and performance of Messaging and Directory Services
  • Plan and implement improvements for stability, security, and scalability
  • Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers to track KPIs
  • Attend regular meetings with service partners and regional teams
  • Maintain and report on solution KPIs
  • Manage enhancement requests and service operations
  • Harmonize services across teams and regions
  • Provide knowledge transfer for newly deployed technologies
  • Work closely with Service Desk and support teams to resolve issues

Experience

Required Experience

  • 7+ years in planning, deploying, and managing:
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft O365
    • Microsoft Entra ID & Entra Connect
    • Exchange Server
    • PowerShell scripting

 

    Education

    • University degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

    Languages

    • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

     Technical Skills

    • Strong knowledge of Messaging and Directory systems
    • Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022
    • Skilled in Active Directory, DNS, LDAP, Entra Connect, Entra ID
    • Familiar with SMTP, SPF, DMARC, Transport Rules, and mail routing
    • Deep understanding of Microsoft O365/Exchange Online and related security tools (EOP, ATP, eDiscovery)
    • Working knowledge of MFA/Conditional Access Policies/Enterprise Applications
    • Proficient in PowerShell for administration
    • Experience with Exchange in hybrid environments

    Preferred Certifications

    • MCSA: Office 365
    • MCSA: Exchange
    • MCA: Azure Administrator
