In this role, you are responsible on a daily basis for organizing and following up on maintenance activities and improvement works, as developed and prescribed by the Maintenance Manager. You prepare these tasks thoroughly and schedule them meticulously. To do this, you actively communicate with contractors, material suppliers, and internal operational departments, all selected and approved by your supervisor and the Procurement department.

You are also responsible for managing various inspections and calibrations of equipment and installations. You are able to correctly assess technical problems and coordinate the appropriate interventions together with your technician colleague, taking into account available time, personnel, and resources. You maintain the stock of spare parts and carefully track and document the work performed.

Together with the QSHE managers, you work towards ensuring that the terminal consistently complies with legal safety regulations and inspections of technical installations.

  • Planning the necessary maintenance or improvement activities for our technical installations on the terminal and the vessels, on a daily basis. The written 52-week plan serves as your guideline.
  • Maintaining practical contact with the various selected contractors, material suppliers, and internal operational departments.
  • Following up and documenting the work performed, ongoing agreements, and results.
  • Facilitating an efficient, safe, and high-quality working environment for your technician colleagues, in order to achieve effective maintenance activities.
  • Inventorying and timely ordering of spare parts and necessary consumables for the maintenance team, using the contracts prepared by the Maintenance Manager and Procurement Department.
  • Scheduling and executing calibrations of measuring equipment, as indicated by the QA Manager, SHE Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Operations Manager.
  • Participating in cross-functional projects within the organization.
  • Representing the department in periodic SHE and Level-2 meetings during your supervisor’s absence.
  • Monitoring the budget prepared by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Preparing operational reports.
  • Supporting and complying with current Quality, (Food) Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations and programs.
  • Keeping existing procedures up to date and ensuring compliance (FSSC 22000, GMP, SMETA, GLP, 5S system, etc.).

To successfully perform this role, the job holder should possess the following technical competencies to support the company’s core operational processes:

  • Minimum of a technical bachelor's level of thinking and at least 3 years of relevant experience in planning/work preparation.
  • Affinity with technology and engineering.
  • Experience working in a process-driven environment.
  • Language skills: fluency in English and Dutch; willingness to further develop proficiency in both languages.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance-related ERP systems.
