- Planning logistic transport to and from clients.
- Be able to execute contract according to signed contract and understand INCOTERMS.
- Ensuring storage space at offloading slots at inland customers.
- Ensuring sufficient transport is available to minimize storage cost and avoid any additional costs
- Arranging all the transport on imports/ exports/inland to and from the ports/silos/customer with road and rail companies. Negotiating the best possible rates on the transport.
- Minimizing the storage of products by moving the product to the customers/ports as fast as possible.
- Invoicing the customers for the product and ensuring that the customers pay in time.
- Handling any and all queries on the delivery and doing all recons and finalizations of contracts.
- Following up on late and overdue payments on the accounts receivable as well as calculating and invoicing interest in this regard.
- Reconciling executed contracts on a daily basis.
- Maintaining a high level of customer and supplier satisfaction on daily interaction.
- Analyzing the PnL at month end and providing management with info as required.
- Appoint & communicating clearly with inspections companies if any rejections.
- Build relationships and inspire trust
- Embrace challenges with customers, partners and competitors
- Collaborate and act with a strong service attitude
- Ability to take full ownership
- Ability to work in a pressurized & dynamic environment
- An energetic & highly motivated self-starter
- Accurate and completeness of reported figures are some of the important values.
- Full ownership and accountability of reported values must be taken
- 2 – 5 years’ experience in dealing with Agriculture Industry (Grains and Oilseeds) OR in Logistics planning
- Excellent analytical and communication skills. Business acumen a plus
- Good team player
- Ability to work independently and in a pressurized & dynamic environment.
- Advanced Excel skills are required
- Analytical; strong problem solving skills
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (oral and written)
- Excellent communication skills are necessary for relaying crucial information to various organizations and negotiating contracts and transportation costs with third-party vendors
