Main Responsibilities
- Data Collection: Conduct regular meetings and interviews with key stakeholders to gather market intel, crop projections and any other relevant data.
- Crop Tours: Organize and undertake crop tours to visit sugar cane plantations across different regions in India, particularly Maharashtra. During these tours, observe and document crop conditions, assess the quality of sugar cane, and gather insights on cultivation practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Indian sugar sector, such as traders, sugar mills, agricultural associations, and government agencies.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor and assess the activities of competitors operating in the sugar industry in Thailand. Identify their strengths, weaknesses, and strategies to help us maintain a competitive edge.
- Report Preparation: Prepare comprehensive and insightful reports on the sugar market in India, presenting key findings, data analysis, and strategic recommendations to the management team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our internal teams, including research and commercial teams, to align strategies based on market insights and drive the company's success.

- Proven experience in sugar cane agronomy, market analysis, or agricultural research. Previous exposure to the Indian sugar industry is advantageous.
- Networking Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and effectively gather market information.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data management.
- Travel: Willingness to travel within India for stakeholder meetings and crop tours.
- Team Player: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse teams and adapt to a multicultural work environment.
Languages:
- Fluency in both English and Marathi to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders.
Academics
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Agronomy, Agriculture Science or similar fields.
