Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Process invoices daily for shipments of Biodiesel, Ethanol, Canola Oil, and other bioproducts shipped from multiple LDC facilities.
  • Enter daily manufacturing numbers into the front office system, as well as the creation of all the supporting documents.  Analyze the entries to ensure accuracy, consistency, and work with the locations to understand in anomalies.
  • Support the execution of rail freight contracts.  This includes working with the Rail Freight MA to ensure all proper documentation has been obtained and verified.  Entering proper receivables/payables, with exact coding, in the existing system.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze existing documented procedures and update them and standardize them when possible.
  • Act as backup for team members when they are out of the office.
  • Other job duties that may be assigned.

Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses

The following is the basic qualification: 

  • Associates degree in business administration or a related discipline
  • Valid Driver’s License

 

The following is the preferred qualification: 

  • Bachelors degree in business, international business or a related discipline

 

Experience

The following is the basic qualification: 

  • Two years of clerical accounting experience. 

 

The following is the preferred qualification: 

  • Agricultural industry experience.          

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)

The following are all required:

  • Basic knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and propose solutions.

·Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict daily deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented.

 

Equipment Used

Typical office equipment: PC, telephone, fax machine.

 

Working Conditions

Fast-paced trading floor environment.  Must meet established daily deadlines.  Extensions of regular working hours are occasionally necessary to complete time-sensitive projects or to respond to emergencies.

 

Employee Supervision

No supervisory responsibilities.

 

Decision Making/Accountability

      Applies knowledge learned on the job to perform settlements and handle customer service issues.  Provides any other

      assistance as directed by supervisor; prioritizes personal workload throughout the day to ensure meeting of deadlines.  

      Consults with supervisor regarding complex issues.
