Along with the below listed responsibilities, the employee should conduct any other business related to the function as required by his/her supervisor.

  • Design, plan and execute experiments on pilot scale equipment for plant protein extraction and purification.
  • Organize collection of samples and subsequent analysis. Record and analyze data. Write up scientific reports.
  • Carryout CIPs and COP procedures to ensure that the plant and all equipment is maintained and clean in accordance with GMPs.
  • Maintain all documentation (batch records, inventory logs, SOPs, JHAs)
  • Support maintenance program, where necessary, preventative maintenance (PM) checks and minor equipment maintenance.
  • Cross functional work with R&D teams, communicating effectively to ensure efficient scale up of the process.
  • Keep order and hygiene in all areas.
  • Practice safety and continuous improvement.

Experiences

  • 0-2 years of experience working in a pilot or manufacturing environment
  • The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • A collaborative team mindset
  • Aptitude for problem solving in a fast-paced environment
  • Dedication to safety, health and environment (SHE)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline

Skills

  • Experience with equipment cleaning and sanitization processes
  • Experience with MS suites
  • Good communication skills, and aptitude to follow complex operational instructions.
  • Experience and interest in mechanical piping, electricity, or other relevant trade skills

Required Languages

  • English (Fluent)
