Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) has been a key player in the coffee industry for over 30 years. We specialize in all major Arabica and Robusta coffee qualities, catering to a diverse range of customers worldwide, from specialty roasters to multinational food companies.

 

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Coffee Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, reporting to the FP&A Manager for the Coffee Platform in EMEA. NOTE (not to be mentioned in the external offer): this role is a replacement for the same position currently being done from Bangalore.

 

The role involves supporting the FP&A Manager in both recurring monthly analysis and ad-hoc transversal topics and coordination with various teams across the EMEA region.

 

This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic and motivating environment. Based in Sofia, one of the key hubs for the Group, it provides a global and multicultural workplace. The individual will interact daily with various teams across the Group at different levels of seniority.

 

Main responsibilities:

Responsibilities within the EMEA Coffee Platform include (supervised by the EMEA Coffee Platform FP&A Manager):

  • Deliver a comprehensive monthly analysis of actuals vs estimates (Flash) vs budget/landing, clearly identifying and explaining key variances and underlying drivers.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the monthly MPR (files and presentation material), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity of financial messages.
  • Review Flash numbers produced by the Middle Office and local controlling teams and lead the review and challenge process.
  • Run monthly full reviews of G&A & finance costs, providing clear explanations of variances versus budget.
  • Assisting the Manager in delivering ad‑hoc analyses requested by stakeholders (e.g. historical performance, OPEX deep dives, trend analysis).
  • Support the Manager in the cross‑functional discussions to mitigate the P&L impact of process‑related issues, ensuring the right counterparties are involved (IT, SBS, execution, controlling, etc.).
  • Ensure full visibility on the reconciliation of data between the FP&A function main working environments (ATLAS PBI, OneStream, SAP).

 

Responsibilities within the Global Coffee Platform (supervised by the Global Coffee Platform FP&A Manager):

  • Data gathering, consolidation, formatting and high-level review for several key recuring reporting streams:
    • Weekly Platform Review
    • Inventory ageing
    • Cash Flow Forecast for LDC Suisse
    • Working Capital Usage
    • Flash vs Actuals recap
    • Global sustainability reporting
    • Provide ad-hoc data requests from OneStream/SAP to support analysis

 

Dimension and context

  • The main scope is the LDC EMEA Coffee Platform with additional contributions to the global Coffee Platform.

 

Interactions/ interface:

  • Many remote interactions with different stakeholders: LDC Finance community (regional FP&A controllers, Platform FP&A controllers, OPEX & Asset FP&A team, Middle-Office team, Global Treasury etc), Atlas/system IT team, SBS & execution, commercial teams

 

Experience

• Corporate finance (audit, transaction services, financial department of a big Corporate)

• Proficiency with finance tools (OneStream, SAP BOLD) and front office (ATLAS)

 

Knowledge /Technical & Functional skills

  • Strong appetite for financial analysis and corporate finance topics
  • Proficiency with excel modeling and powerpoint (knowledge of PBI and AI applications for finance is a plus)
  • Understanding of commodities valuation and mechanism
  • Ability to quickly master Finance IT tools (OneStream, SAP…)
