Meet Our People

Leandro

Asset Head, Grains & Oilseeds
General Lagos, Argentina
“You need energy and sustainability to achieve any objective.”

Leandro oversees industrial operations at our General Lagos plant in Argentina, one of LDC’s largest assets, comprising two crushing plants, two biodiesel plants, a lecithin plant and two ports, one for solids and another for liquids, strategically located at the confluence of the Paraná and Salado rivers.

With such varied operations under his responsibility, it is perhaps just as well that Leandro cites the complexity of his role as one of his major sources of motivation!

Reflecting the scale of the operations and industrial processes that he oversees, Leandro supervises a large team, which means that managerial skills are just as important to his role as technical knowledge. Leandro enjoys this aspect of his job, and says that contributing to the professional development of his teams is a great satisfaction.

A graduate in mechanical engineering from the National University of Mar del Plata, Leandro also followed several postgraduate courses related to his field of expertise, as part of his ongoing pursuit of professional development.

In LDC, he believes he has found a company that both matches his ambitions and affords him room to grow – something he has done continually during his 10 years within the Group.

“What I value most are the constant challenges, the professional growth opportunities and the chance to be part of the path to industrial excellence.”
