DP beans are priced out at the SPOT price at the time you choose to price them.
Spot Price Policy
Beans delivered by 1pm (scale out time) are spotted at that day’s closing price. Beans delivered after 1pm (scale out time) are spotted at the next day’s closing price. Beans delivered after 1pm Friday and over the weekend will be spotted on the close Monday (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday). You can call during regular business hours to set the price before that.
Basis Contracts
There is a 2 cent per bushel charge for basis rolls within the same crop year. There is a 5 cent per bushel charge for basis rolls to the next crop year. Basis contracts must be priced or rolled 3 days prior to first notice day. See CME website for details of First Notice Day.
