We are proud to announce that Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) Asia has been recognized for its leading Graduate Trainee Program and Trading Academy.
The HR Excellence Awards celebrate organizations in Asia that strive for excellence through HR strategy and execution.
Our company’s 18-month trainee program invests in ambitious graduate talent to help them become leaders of tomorrow.
“We are honored to receive this award for our graduate programs, which attract ambitious global talent, equipping them with fundamental skills and knowledge for success within the Group,” says Jessica Teo, Regional Head of HR for LDC in Asia. “These programs are essential to developing and retaining our best talent. We look forward to strengthening LDC’s value proposition as an employer of choice.”
The program uses a rotation structure to expose trainees to new projects and different business areas. Our trainees don’t spend their whole days in classrooms. The training is hands-on and tailored to their individual needs. Some of them are offered the opportunity to relocate within the region or globally at the end of the program.
The Trading Academy complements the Graduate Trainee Program, through a series of modules that focus on the theory of trading. Senior traders and internal experts deliver sessions on topics, which range from the fundamentals of trading and risk through to management, research, and market analysis.
Our Trading Academy and Trainee Program contribute to the company’s pipeline of talent, while supporting LDC’s entrepreneurial culture. LDC currently has 54 graduate trainees in Asia. Performance appraisals show that almost 70 percent have been rated as very solid performers by their line managers. More than 20 percent are high performers.
Organized by Human Resources magazine, this year’s awards covered 25 categories. New categories this year included Change Management, HR Innovation, and Workplace Culture categories, reflecting the central role that HR plays in today’s business environment.
