Financial Information
In line with LDC’s core values, we strive to optimize performance over the long-term, guided by a strategy for sustainable growth and a balanced approach to risk management.
Financial Metrics
The Group tracks a wide range of performance indicators to ensure that LDC can deliver a viable and durable business. These include both profitability ratios, such as return on equity (ROE), earnings before tax (EBT), earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), and cash metrics, including funds from operations (FFO). These indicators are used by the management to assess the performance of our operations, and are benchmarked against market performance. The Group also monitors balance sheet indicators, such as gearing, leverage ratio and liquidity, with the aim of keeping LDC within investment-grade boundaries. Maintaining focus on this complete set of financial indicators ensures that LDC can consistently deliver a strong financial performance over the long-term, while meeting all its financial obligations.
Key Figures – 2023
Financing
Our funding model is designed to support LDC’s long-term strategy, such that long-term debt is primarily used to support long-term investments, while short-term debt supports ongoing business needs.
Sustainable Funding
Our funding arrangements reflect LDC’s commitment to sustainability. Where possible, we include sustainability-linked pricing mechanisms in LDC’s credit facilities and are pleased to note that the ISS-Corporate’s ESG’s Second Party Opinions (SPO) have validated that the Group’s ESG KPIs embedded in its new RCFs are in line with Sustainability Linked Bond Principles.
