Governance
Rigorous governance gives structure and oversight to our company purpose.
To help uphold our purpose of creating fair and sustainable value, we have established a governance structure that ensures we monitor and maintain momentum by focusing on key areas.
Our Committees
Our committees are composed of members of our senior leadership teams and representatives of our platforms and other business areas as appropriate. We also seek to include relevant external expertise, and will invite ad hoc attendees where necessary.
Environment Committee
Responsible for all other aspects of LDC’s environmental impacts, principally in relation to our supply chains. Addressing challenging areas with the following ambitions:
- Deforestation, conversion and biodiversity – conserving forests and other high conservation value habitats, while meeting rising food demand with diminishing available land.

Human Rights Committee
Directing our approach on all human-rights related issues, from diversity with LDC to child labor in supply lines. Addressing challenging areas with the following ambitions:
- Human rights – using fair labor practices, eliminating child and forced labor from our supply chains, and respecting diversity in all its forms;
- Diversity – removing any discriminatory imbalances that exist for people working in LDC, and influencing others to do the same;
- Land rights – respecting the rights of all landowners in expanding our operations.

Our Policies
The work of each of our committees is informed and directed by our various policies:
