Record Sales Volumes
In a volatile market environment marked by supply chain disruptions, the Platform once again registered a robust performance overall. Sales volumes remained at the record levels achieved in the previous two years, despite low farmer selling in Brazil, driven by strong commercial performance across Asian and West Latin American origination markets, especially in India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Colombia and Mexico.
Forward Thinking
A strong destination presence and proximity to customers helped the Platform anticipate needs while navigating a complex ocean freight market, macroeconomic uncertainties and price volatility.
Strengthening Sustainability
We successfully launched a new five-year Coffee Sustainability Strategy, including our Stronger Coffee Initiative. This seeks to support the production of certified and verified coffee from new and existing farmers in our global network, by driving coalition-led investments that facilitate farmers’ access to markets and training, support strong coffee communities, restore soils and tackle climate change – ultimately bolstering global supply chain resilience.
Ben Clarkson
Head of Coffee
“The new coffee sustainability strategy we announced in 2022 builds on the team’s ongoing efforts to support and empower coffee grower communities around the world. It draws on four interconnected pillars which, combined, support the production of certified and verified coffee by 50,000 new and existing farmers in our network.”
